South Bay communities are located in the southern portion of San Diego County.  Typically,  the south bay is considered  to be below State Route 54.  This page, however, will include south of downtown, north of the international border with Mexico and west to east from the beach to the foothills.  Imperial Beach is located within the Beach Communities page.
