2010 Rock and Roll San Diego Marathon…Memories from 2005

The Rock and Roll San Diego Marathon and Half Marathon is this Sunday, June 6.  It’s been about five years since I completed this marathon which was my first and is my only marathon to date.  I hesitate to say my last.  Each year, when this event happens, the memories return like it was yesterday.

The anticipation I felt before the race waiting in corrals with thousands of my closest friends.  Then the singing of our national anthem, the fan fare and the music.  Walking in cattle like formation towards the starting gate and then…we’re off.  Well, sort of, as I had a plan to complete this race and my plan started with me walking.  Read the rest of this entry »
