The Kaplan Office

The Kaplan Office has been representing home buyers in San Diego County for over thirteen years.  We are unique in that our team only specializes in buyers and we do not list homes.  Since we do not list homes, listing agents know that we are not a threat to them.  This fact enables us to ask them if they have any homes not yet listed on the market.  Our job is to, specifically, find the home that fits your needs.  We work with the motto, “a home is not worth what a seller or agent says it is, it’s worth what a ready, willing and able buyer will pay for it.”

We are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week through phone, email or in person and our team will leave no stone unturned when searching for your home.  We give our clients the opportunity to know about properties within hours of them appearing on the market.

Our team will negotiate purchase contracts for you, walk you through every piece of the transaction and always have your protection in mind.  The Kaplan Office writes all contracts to protect your interests.  We will sit down with you and explain contracts, forms, inspections and disclosures until you understand and are satisfied.

Our team’s goal is to educate you and we will not make any decisions for you.   We understand that every buyer takes a different amount of time to find the right home.  There is never any pressure to buy.   It could take six days, six weeks or six months.  We work on your timeline.

The Kaplan Office does approximately 85% of our business by referral.  We understand that as long as we treat our buyers with honesty and respect, whether they purchase or not, they will feel confident in telling anyone they know to “call The Kaplan Office if you are thinking about purchasing a home.”

I am a licensed real estate agent and since 1997 have spent my time in San Diego working exclusively as a Buyer’s Agent for Prudential California Realty.  I have been Prudential California Realty’s  Official Buyer Broker Agreement Trainer in Southern California since 2003 and have been recognized in the Prudential’s elite Chairman’s Circle for numerous years.  I lectured at Prudential Real Estate’s national convention and am a frequent guest speaker and lecturer on behalf of Prudential California Realty and their buyer’s agent prospective. My specialty has earned me many accolades and praise throughout the Western Region of the United States.  My past client list of hundreds ranges from celebrities, local and national sports figures with an extended list of both local and federal law enforcement, local and prominent attorneys and physicians and first time home buyers.  We work in every part of the county and every client gets treated with the same respect and attention to detail regardless of price range.

My motto “good deals can be found, but great deals are negotiated” comes from my ability to get to the bottom of any situation, stemming the title “The No Bull Agent.”  You can see me on occasion on local television stations with my unique and direct points of view with the No Bull touch.

I am not originally from San Diego, but I got here as fast as I could.  Born and raised in Phoenix, my family often vacationed in Southern California.  I knew from an early age that my dream was to one day call San Diego home.  In 1998, I graduated college in San Antonio, Texas and embarked on my career.  I arrived in San Diego in 2002 and have called this city home ever since.  I have been licensed as a Real Estate Agent since March 2006.  I am a designated e-PRO® Internet Professional.  My career, regardless of job title, has always focused on serving customers.  Being a Realtor and buyer specialist gives me the opportunity to work closely with my clients during, what is typically, a monumental moment in their life.  It is a privilege for me to share in their experience and my duty to provide them with all the tools necessary to make an informed decision.

My wife, Janice, and I live in Chula Vista.  We enjoy sampling new restaurants, running and are always appreciative of the gifts San Diego has to offer.
